1. Controller and scope

Stoffel Labs Ltd is responsible for personal information processed in connection with LagPutt and support enquiries. Privacy questions can be submitted through the contact form on this page by selecting or stating that the message concerns LagPutt privacy.

2. Data handled by the app

LagPutt is designed to work without a user account. In the intended version 1.0 configuration, Stoffel Labs does not receive your calibration values, putt distances, settings or other core training records. These are stored locally in the app's private storage on your device.

The app is not intended to collect or share location, contacts, photos, video, audio, health data, financial information, messages, browsing history, advertising identifiers or device identifiers. Stoffel Labs does not sell LagPutt user data or use it for targeted advertising.

3. Local storage and deletion

You can remove local LagPutt data using the app's reset function, by clearing LagPutt storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app. Stoffel Labs cannot retrieve or remotely delete data it never receives. Android or manufacturer backup services may separately copy app data under their own settings and privacy terms.

4. Support and website information

If you use the website contact form, Stoffel Labs receives the name, email address and message you provide. The form is delivered through EmailJS, which processes the submission as a service provider. The website host and network providers may also process technical logs such as IP address, browser information, requested page, timestamp and security events to deliver and protect the site.

Support information is used to respond, troubleshoot, prevent misuse, maintain appropriate business records and establish or defend legal claims. The usual lawful bases are taking steps at your request, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in supporting and securing the service, and legal obligations.

5. Recipients, transfers and retention

Support or website data may be handled by hosting, email-delivery, security, backup and professional-service providers. Some may process information outside the United Kingdom using an applicable adequacy decision, contractual safeguard or other lawful transfer mechanism.

Support messages are normally retained only as long as needed to resolve the matter and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless longer retention is reasonably necessary for security, accounting, legal or dispute purposes. Website logs follow the host's operational retention settings.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object to certain processing, receive portable data and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or another competent regulator. Some rights will not apply where Stoffel Labs holds no relevant data or a legal exemption applies.

7. Children and security

LagPutt is a general-audience golf training tool, not a service directed specifically at children. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use. Reasonable security measures are used for information Stoffel Labs processes, but no device, email or website can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated when the app, law or service providers change. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date and, where appropriate, in the app or store listing.

This public summary does not replace the separate declaration required in Google Play Console.

Do not declare “no data collected” in Play Console if the final app or an included SDK sends diagnostics, crash reports, identifiers, analytics, advertising data or any other user or device data.

1. Agreement and licence

By downloading or using LagPutt, you agree to these terms. Stoffel Labs grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use the app on compatible devices for lawful personal golf practice, subject to Google Play terms and applicable law.

2. Acceptable use

You must not use LagPutt unlawfully, dangerously or contrary to golf-club, venue or competition rules; interfere with security; introduce malicious code; impersonate another person; remove proprietary notices; or copy, reverse engineer, distribute, resell or commercially exploit the app except where the law expressly permits it.

3. Practice aid, not a guarantee

LagPutt provides an estimate and training reference based on information you enter and the method you use. It does not read greens, verify distance or automatically account for slope, grain, wind, moisture, temperature, ball condition, putter characteristics, fatigue or changes in your stroke.

You remain responsible for pace, line, strategy, compliance with the Rules of Golf and any decision to rely on an output. Stoffel Labs does not promise lower scores, handicap improvement, competition legality, complete accuracy, uninterrupted availability or a particular sporting outcome.

4. Your entries, device and backups

You are responsible for accurate entries, safe testing, device security and your own backups. Stoffel Labs is not responsible for local data loss resulting from uninstalling, clearing storage, device failure, operating-system behaviour, backup settings or unauthorised device access, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

5. Changes and third-party services

Stoffel Labs may update, suspend, change or discontinue features, correct errors and stop supporting devices or Android versions. Google Play, Android, device, network and golf-facility services are governed by their own terms. LagPutt is not sponsored by Google, a golf club or a golf governing body.

6. Payments and consumer rights

Any price, tax, purchase or refund processed through Google Play is also subject to store terms and mandatory consumer law. Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Intellectual property

LagPutt's software, visual design, text, calculations, graphics, name and logos are owned by Stoffel Labs or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. No ownership rights are transferred to the user.

8. Liability

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Stoffel Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss; loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data; sporting disappointment; lost score, prize, handicap or competition opportunity; loss caused by inaccurate inputs or unsafe use; or events outside its reasonable control.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers elsewhere retain any mandatory rights to use their home courts or mandatory local law. Contact Stoffel Labs before formal proceedings so the issue can first be considered informally.

Golf involves moving clubs, flying balls, uneven terrain, water, vehicles and exposure to weather. LagPutt cannot assess your surroundings.

• Do not hold or operate a phone while driving a car, golf buggy, cart, bicycle or other vehicle.
• Do not use the app while crossing roads, walking on slopes or wet surfaces, or standing where balls may be in play.
• Remain outside every player's swing arc and line of play.
• Do not place a device where a club, ball, person, mower or vehicle may strike it.
• Practise only where permitted and do not delay play, obstruct golfers or damage a green.
• Stop during lightning, course closure, dangerous heat or cold, flooding, ice, poor visibility or high wind.
• Do not continue through pain, dizziness or injury. LagPutt is not medical, physiotherapy or fitness advice.
• Supervise children and anyone who needs assistance using a device or navigating a golf environment.
• Do not rely on LagPutt for emergency communication, navigation, weather warnings or course-safety information.

This version of the site uses no advertising or analytics scripts and does not intentionally set marketing cookies. It does use EmailJS when you submit the contact form. EmailJS and the website host may receive technical data needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot their services.

If analytics, embedded media, non-essential cookies or further third-party tools are added later, Stoffel Labs must update this notice and, where required, prevent those technologies from loading until valid consent is obtained.
